Donna Smith

Donna C. Smith, Ph.D., DABT serves as Associate Fellow of Pre-Clinical within Regulatory Sciences for Altria Client Services (ALCS) in Richmond, VA. In this role, she leads the Pre-Clinical team to develop strategies for science-based engagement, identify innovations for tobacco product evaluation and provide solutions to scientific issues. Dr. Smith has held a variety of positions within the Altria family of companies with increasing levels of accountability within the Pre-Clinical organization since 1999.Most recently she served as Principal Scientist and Associate Principal Scientist in Product Integrity where she led the development and utilization of toxicological risk assessments to support product development and facilitated regulatory engagement and compliance.Dr. Smith holds board certification in toxicology by the American Board of Toxicology and has published numerous professional articles related to her work.
