Irene Abraham

Irene Abraham, Ph.D., DABT, ERTIrene is a seasoned regulatory toxicologist with over 15 years of experience, specializing in a diverse array of substances, products, and worldwide regulatory requirements. Currently, she serves as the Product Stewardship Principal Director at JTI, where she focuses on safeguarding a large range of consumer products through rigorous material assessments and innovative toxicology strategies. Before joining JTI, Irene served as a toxicologist at Toxicology Excellence for Risk Assessment (TERA), where she supported governmental and industry projects across sectors such as consumer products and pharmaceuticals.Irene holds a Doctorate in Toxicology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT) and a European Registered Toxicologist (ERT). Her expertise is further evidenced by her numerous publications and contributions through regulatory submissions, notifications, and responses to inquiries from regulatory authorities.
